Total Recall Trailer

Here is the trailer of the Total Recall trailer staring Colin Farrell,Kate Beckinsale and Jessica Biel.It is the remake of the 1990 film which originally has Schwartzenegger.Before judging the film for being a remake,just checkout the trailer,the visual effects looks awesome and it does help having an actor who can really act as the lead.

Also checkout this awesome video of Haley Reinhart's new single 'Free'.She has a very unique  and distinct voice which you can recognise easily and this song just proved that she should have won her season of American Idol.Too sad nowadays only the cutest one wins the title.

Prometheus,Abraham Lincoln Vampire Hunter& Snow White and Huntsman-Trailer

Here is the latest trailer of Prometheus.I got mixed feelings with this trailer.We got some glimpses of Michael Fassbender as the android and some clear shots of  other characters which includes Idris Elba,Charlize Theron and the fabulous Noomi Rapace.Too bad there is no sightings of the aliens.

Another trailer of the Abraham Lincoln Vampire Hunter.There is a shot of a older Abraham Lincoln.I'm not sure its an old footage of Abraham Lincoln but if  it is not an a old footage but makeup and visual effects,Kudos.However I'm not still convinced about this film.However it does look interesting and the action sequence looks good.

Finally we get to see Snow White speak.The trailer just built my expectation for Charlize Theron to kick arse.She looks amazing.The visual effects looks brilliant and I'm loving the creation of the the Dark Forest.



Dark Shadows -Trailer

Here is the trailer of the Tim Burton's Dark Shadows.The film which is based on the TV show of the same name has an impressive cast.You have Tim Burton's usual collaborator Johnny Depp(like Ricky Gervais said in the Golden Globes that a man who would wear anything Tim Burton asks him to) and  Helena Bonham Carter (who is born to play roles no actress can play)  together with Chloe Grace Moretz,Eva Green,Johnny Lee Miller and the beautiful Michelle Pfeiffer.I seriously love the cast.All of them are well known for their darker roles and its nice to see Eva Green  in a meaty role.I feel she is one of those actress who got overshadowed by their looks.She is a talented actress.Only Tim Burton could infuse goth and humour together without making it looking ridiculous and cheap.

 And here are the two featurettes from the film Snow White and the Huntsman and a sneak peek of the film.The biggest plus of this film compared to the other Snow White film is having Charlize Theron playing the Evil Queen.She is giving me chills with just this few minutes and I have to admit that  for the first time I realise that Kristen Stewart is a  very pretty girl.She looks awesome in this film.

Game of Thrones Season 2-videos

I had just started to write my review on A Dance With Dragons but I was stopped with these amazing videos from the Game of Thrones season 2.The character featurettes for season 2 show some glimpses how this season would be.

Out of the featurettes,I loved Renly Baratheon's featurette mainly for the introduction of Margaery Tyrell of HighGarden which will be played by Natalie Dormer.I guess everyone recognises Natalie from Tudors where she played  the  cunning Anne Boleyn.In the novels since we don't get to see POV of Margaery ,we are given a third person point of view of the character who appears to be a very sweet and humble girl but  hints that behind the closed doors she is a schemer and a younger and clever version of Cersei . She realises Renly is gay and loves her brother but married him for political gain.Based on the few minutes Natalie Dormer ,I feel she will kick arse and  get some nominations.Her calm composure and and dialogue delivery is very convincing.Cant wait for April 1!!

On The Road Trailer

On The Road is one of my anticipated film of 2012.Check out the trailer which has Sam Riley,Kristen Stewart,Amy Adams,Kirsten Dunst and Viggo Mortensen as the part of the cast.

5 Underrated Films

Freshly from Oscars,I would like to dedicate this post on my favourite underrated film that is surprisingly good that got overlooked mainly for its content and lack of star power.Whats your favourite underrated film?

1.Black Death

A knight and his companions travel to locate and capture a necromancer who is said to bringing dead  to alive.

Pluses

-Wonderfully acted by Sean Bean,Carice Van Houten and Eddie Redmayne

-Beautiful dark backdrops which set the tone of the film without being so obvious



2.All Good Things

Based on the true events of the disappearance of Kathie Durst,the film has Kirsten Dunst has the victim wife and Ryan Gosling as the creepy husband.
Pluses
-The performance of Kirsten Dunst and Ryan Gosling is award worthy.It's a shock when Ryan Gosling who gave performance like this along with Blue Valentine was snubbed for an Oscar nod last year.

3.Chloe

A wife hires a prostitute to investigate whether her husband is faithful to her but things take a dark turn when the prostitute  falls for the wife.

- Amanda Seyfried as the manipulative prostitute and  huge eyes was perfect to depict the lustful and lonely Chloe.Amanda is a talented actress and she should choose her future projects wisely.Lovelace looks promising and risky at the same time.

4.Carriers

Post the outbreak of a deadly flesh eating virus, two brothers and their girlfriends  decide to take a trip across the country to their parents cabin.

-the script is so different compared to other apocalypse film.the screenplay is brilliant and makes us wonder what we would do at their situation

-Piper Perabo,Emily Vancamp  and Chris Pine all gave a commendable job.The shocking performance in the film belongs to sick child of Christopher Meloni .

5.Freedom Writers

A teacher tries to inspire her students to read and improve their grades and tries to unite her students who were socially separated based on their race.

-Hillary Swank  and Imelda Staunton.

Upcoming Films

Check out some of the trailers that had been circulating the net.While one looks promising the other  looks doubtful.

-Keira Knightley has amazing projects in her hands right know such as Anna Karenina,a period flick and a another Effie Gray film .Seeking a friend at the end of the world seem to be a comedy,drama film and it does look good based on the trailer.Oddly her chemisrty with Steve Carell seems to work but we need to wait to see the film .

-Abraham Lincoln The Vampire Hunter is a film that could possibly one of the worst film of the year or one of the entertaining film of the year.I tried to buy the novel and just as I reach the counter to pay ,I would go back and choose another book.So I'm looking forward for this film just to see what it is really about and  mainly for Mary Elizabeth Winstead who won critical acclaim in Sundance Film Festival for her performance in Smashed is in the film.

Lastly a still from Byzantium,a vampire flick about a mother daughter duo who forms a deadly pack directed by Neil Jordan.Although being another vampire flick,this film is one of the film I'm looking forward to watch as Saoirse Ronan and Gemma Arterton  playing the duo and the fact Neil Jordan(Ondine,Interview with The Vampire fame) directing the film.Another interesting  thing is Saoirse learned the piano for the role.

Games Of Thrones Season 2 Trailer

Here is the trailer of GOT season 2.It is beautifully narrated by the eunuch Varys.If  Tyrion Lannister(Peter Dinklage) is your favourite character  in season 1,Season 2 Tyrion can be said as the main character  and Peter Dinklage could create the magic again in this season,he is set to win more awards.I love that we get to see Carice van Houten who plays the red priest in the beginning of the trailer and Sansa(Sophie Turner) getting tortured by Joffrey(Jack Gleeson) will surely make those Sansa haters to  have a change of heart.Jack Gleeson is really good as I do feel very angry and hatred whenever I see him appear onscreen.Check out the trailer and leave some comments on what you think of it!

The Dark Knight Rises- trailer

Check out the new trailer of Christopher Nolan final film of the The Batman trilogy,The Dark Knight Rises.Staring Christian Bale,Gary Oldman,Tom Hardy,Anne Hathaway and Marion Cottilard.Anne Hathaway looks convincing as Selina Kyle but I'm still not sure about her as Catwoman.Marion Cottillard would be prefect as Selina Kyle/Catwoman but lets wait for the film until we can decide whether Anne is a miscast.Tom Hardy looks so different and crazy huge as Bane.After this film, I would like to see Christopher Nolan doing a biopic of The Joker from  his point of view and Joker's childhood.That would be great but I don't see anyone who could play The Joker as Heath Ledger.

The Iron Lady -trailer 2

Meryl Streep looks awesome in this trailer and I love her accent too.Definitely a very strong contender to win Best Actress this year!!!

The Iron Lady-trailer

Here is the trailer of the film The Iron Lady directed by Phyllida Lloyd and staring Meryl Streep  as the first female prime minister and Jim Broadbent. Do checkout the trailer.

Meryl Streep looks great as Margaret thatcher and performs well as usual.I definitely see an Oscar nod for Streep this year and maybe a possible win.

Pure Talent- Tom Cullen

This week , I would like to highlight  Tom Cullen the breakout star in the controversial indie film Weekend. Tom Cullen(26 years old) started his career with some short TV series and stage work  before got casted  in the film Weekend.

The film Weekend deals about the two guys who initially  desired for a one night stand  and starts to get to know each other as well themselves in the process.Tom Cullen plays Russell a lifeguard who is not completely out,a loner who meets the outspoken Glenn played by Chris New who is very comfortable of his sexuality unlike Russell.Since Glenn is about to leave to America for a art course,they decide to spend  the weekend together and eventually creating emotional bonds in that two days.

Tom Cullen portrayal as Russell is amazing .It is quite unbelievable that its his first film and playing a gay character in his first film shows he will have a bright career.Many critics noted the thick accent of both Tom Cullen and Chris New as something negative(the only negative point) but I actually find the accent helped us to keep in mind that this is not America but Nottingham.His chemistry with co-star Chris New is believable and authentic.My favourite scene would be the scenes after the one night stand where u can see the awkwardness between the character especially in Tom Cullen and where Tom Cullen character tries to speak more about himself  and his childhood stuff.Tom Cullen playing a dull character manages to keep us interested in his  character with his expression. he did carry the film by himself.You can feel the loneliness in him even when he not speaking but just staring.

Tom Cullen career had just started and he  had already won the Best Actor in the Nashville Film Festival and was recently won the  Most Promising Newcomer in the British Independent Film Awards and more to come.He  had some interesting projects in the future like the TV series of the sequel of the Pillars Of The Earth.Tom Cullen is definitely  good actor and with the risks he takes in his choices of  projects,he is for sure here to stay.I would like to wish Tom Cullen all the best for his movie Weekend and his upcoming career.

Hugo Cabaret-new trailer

2011 seems to be a year that is great for the career of these actors.While Brad Pitt is well known face in the movies and Ryan Gosling a indie favourite,Michael Fassbender is a rising star.So what does these three actors have in common? Besides they are great actors,they are having serious buzz as contenders for the Best Actor category.

Brad Pitt

Brad Pitt has two critically acclaimed movie this year.While he is garnering serious buzz for the supporting category for the Tree of Life,it is Moneyball that made him to be mentioned here.Brad Pitt plays once baseball prodigy whose career didn't took off well and becomes a general manager for the Oaklands Athletics.Brad Pitt performance received great reviews and critics do appreciate the humor inserted by him into the character Beane.Brad Pitt is no more the sexy guy in the movies .He seems to start to choose good roles and manage to perform too.From the Curious Case of Benjamin Button to Moneyball and so on.

Ryan Gosling

Ryan Gosling appeared as the stuntman  who have a totally different life at night the film Drive while he played a junior campaign manager who at first was reluctant and disgust at how the politician plays dirty tricks,at last losing himself and becoming equally bad and cunning in The Ides of March.Ryan's performance in both film brought him great reviews and he was praised for carrying two very distinct roles.Ryan had been snubbed before for his performance in Blue Valentine and Lars and the Real Girl.Ryan Gosling had done so distinct roles this year and even tried comedy for the first time in Crazy Stupid Love

Michael Fassbender

Michael Fassbender not only have starred in 4 critically acclaimed movies this year,Jane Eyre,X-Men First Class,a Dangerous Method and the masterpiece Shame, his film X-Men First Class is one of the successful movie at the box officce this year.However,it is the film Shame and the David Croneberg a Dangerous Method made Michael to be mention here.While Michael received favourable review in the film a Dangerous Method for his portrayal of Carl Jung,he received universal acclaimed for his performance as the sex addict Brandon in Shame.His performance as a vulnerable man who have a serous addiction was moving so raw.Michael Fassbender seem to play  flawed roles so well.I couldn't even  imagine what and how Michael did to become Brandon during  the shooting as it is a very disturbed character.It is a very tormented character and for Michael to play it so well ,I'm speechless.Michael bared his soul and gave a breathtaking performance in the film Shame.He won the Volpi cup at the Venice Film Festival which I believe is the beginning of his winning streak.

So which of these three wonderful actors would get nominated for the best actor category for the 84th Best Actor category?Based on the lengthy explanation,I reckon you guys had guessed I'm rooting for Michael Fassbender.YES,I am but I also appreciate the performance of the other two.So who are you rooting for ?Who do you guys feels deserved the nomination the most?

Trailer- Girl with the Dragon Tattoo

The new trailer of the the adaptation of the best selling novel by the late Lars Stieg Larson directed by the master of films David Fincher has been released.Being a fan of the book,and watched the swedish version, I thought no one could play Lisbeth Salander like Noomi Rapace but everything changed as i watch this new trailer.Rooney Mara looked and suited well for the role and Daniel Craig as Mikael gives a british touch to it.

I cant wait for the film itself  and looking foward to see Rooney Mara  take on Lisbeth.
