Pure Talent-Joseph Gordon-Levitt

Today in the Pure Talent section I would like to highlight Joseph Gordon- Levitt and some of his movies from his budding career.
Joseph Gordon-Levitt
I first notice Joseph Gordon-Levitt in the film Mysterious Skins where he played a sexually abused kid who become a male prostitute when he grows up.His performance as Neil received rave reviews .He performed some intense scenes which included some sex scenes with male co-star and managed to emote the fragile state of the character well.To play a gay character at the beginning of his career should be applauded

Another film that proved Joseph Gordon can act is the indie film (500) Days Of Summer. Its a simple love story but shot in a non-linear narrative.Joseph Gordon-Levitt played the character of Tom Hansen who falls in love with Summer(Zooey Deschanel)  and the film deals about how their romance dies as time passes.Joseph Gordon-Levitt managed to carry the film all by himself and the chemistry with Deschanel was amazing. He had a range of performance in this movie from a happy go lucky guy trying to win this girl he likes ,to a guy who is heartbroken and realising love could be just a fantasy. He was nominated for a golden globe  for this movie.

However it was this year's 50/50 which propelled him as a serious actor status. He portrayed  Adam Lerner ,a young  healthy guy who finds out he have been diagnosed with cancer. He managed to infuse some comedy into the battle against cancer his character endured.Joseph Gordon-Levitts performance and his chemistry with both Anna Kendrick and Seth Rogen is spontaneous and convincing. He could be getting an Oscar nod ,but the race is quite tough especially this year when you have actors giving 2 or 3 Oscar worthy performances  together. But what I'm sure is a Golden Globe nomination and possible win  for Joseph Gordon Levitt.

He will be appearing in the Christopher Nolan The Dark Knight  Rises and the Steven Spielberg Lincoln biopic playing Todd Lincoln. He is definitely at the peak of his career and I would like to wish him all the best for his career.Next week Memonisma would be highlighting Tom Cullen from the British indie film Weekend.
