Critics Choice Awards- Winners

Best Picture: The Artist
- Well deserving, Congratulation!

Best Director : Michel Hazanavicius,The Artist
-He did a brilliant job directing a silent film  and  manage to make it interesting for the current generation to watch and I just found out that he is married to Berenice Bejo who also starred in The Artist.

Best Original Screenplay: Midnight In Paris,Woody Allen
-Well deserved!!And Mindy Kaling  presenting the award was so funny  with her crush with Michael Fassbender

Best Adapted Screenplay: Moneyball, Aaron Sorkin ,Steven Zallian
-I still cant understand the craze for Moneyball ,I felt The Descendants or The Help should have win..just my opinion

Best Foreign Film: A Separation
-It has been sweeping all  the critics awards..So not a big surprise but well deserving!

Best Comedy Film: Bridesmaid
-Bridesmaids over Midnight in Paris!Disappointed

Best Action Film: Drive
-Well deserved,Drive proves that action films can also have a good plot with brilliant acting

Best Animated Film : Rango

Best Ensemble: The Help
-Viola Davis,Jessica Chastain,Emma Stone,Octavia Spencer and Bryce Dallas Howard(which many failed to appreciate her brilliant performance) all did a great job.

Best Actor: George Clooney,The Descendants
-I predicted George would win and I still feel he is gonna win this Sunday his second Oscar...However  I'm still disappointed  as I felt Michael Fassbender,Jean Dujardin and Ryan Gosling all did a marvellous job than Clooney.

Best Actress: Viola Davis,The Help
-She was great in Doubt in the given few minutes..imagine when you give her a character in a film like The Help,of course she was brilliant in The Help.I feel they should stop nominating Meryl Streep and maybe name the Best Actress category  after her,she is too good when it comes to acting!

Best Supporting Actor: Christopher Plummer,The Beginners
-Its official that its gonna be between the closeted gay guy(Christopher Plummer) against the cold hearted mafia(Albert Brooks) for the Oscar

Best Supporting Actress: Octavia Spencer,The Help
-Octavia could be winning her first Oscar in her first major role .However I was hoping for Chastain who had a brilliant year in many films especially Take Shelter,The Tree Of Life and The Help.

Best Young Performer: Thomas Horn,Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close
-Seriously I was hoping for Saoirse Ronan to win..she kicked butt in Hanna

Best Cinematography: War Horse,Tree of Life(tie)
-I'm still feeling Tree of Life will be winning the Oscar for this category as Emmanuel Lubezki was superb as usual

Best Score-The Artist
-The music is the backbone of this film.
Best Original Song : The Muppets,Life's a Happy Song

Best Art Direction: Hugo

Best Makeup: Harry Potter And The Deathly Hallows Part 2
-fnally someone recognise the superb makeup creating the goblins and Aberforth Dumbledore

Best Visuals: Rise of the Planet of the Apes
- the best won!

Best Sound- Harry Potter and The Deathly Hallows Part 2
-Well deserving

Best Editing- The Girl And The Dragon Tattoo

I completely agree with almost everything you said. It's nice to see that someone else agrees that Bryce Dallas Howard gave one of the better performances in The Help.

It seems like I didn't like The Artist as much as you did but it is easy to see that the film couldn't have pulled off without a lot of great work form the director.

Like you, I think there were some better performances this year than Clooney, but I think he's going all the way to Oscarland on this one. There's so much politicking that goes into it, and he seems to be really good at that without appearing that he's doing that, if you know what I mean.
